שיחות הר״ן · אות רט״ו

אָמַר: אֶצְלִי הָעִקָּר הוּא רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה. וְתֵכֶף כְּשֶׁחוֹלֵף וְעוֹבֵר רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה, אֲנִי מַטֶּה אָזְנִי וְשׁוֹמֵעַ אִם מַכִּין בַּכֹּתֶל לְעוֹרֵר לִסְלִיחוֹת לַשָּׁנָה הַבָּאָה; כִּי אֵין שׁוּם זְמַן כְּלָל, כִּי כָּל הַשָּׁנָה חוֹלֵף וְעוֹבֵר כְּהֶרֶף עַיִן.
