Privacy
This page explains what information is stored when you join the NACHMAN Community, and what the site measures. Last updated: October 7, 2026.
This page is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any difference between the English and the Hebrew, the Hebrew version is the binding text: read the Hebrew version.
Who runs the site
The site was built by Yitzchak Chen. You can read about him and about the site on the About page. Privacy requests are sent through the contact page.
What is stored when you join the community
- Your email address.
- The frequency you chose: once a week or every day.
- The place on the site where you joined (for example the home page, or after an answer).
- When you confirmed joining, and which version of the consent text you agreed to.
- When a "welcome" email was sent to you, so that it is not sent twice.
We do not ask for your name, phone number or any other detail.
Giving your email address is your choice and is not required: the whole site is open for reading, searching and asking questions without joining.
Why
Only to send you what you asked for: an email to confirm that you joined, a welcome email, and then the advice of the week or the advice of each day, as you chose. You only join once you click the link in the confirmation email.
The information is not sold, not rented, and not given to anyone for advertising.
Where the information is kept
The mailing list is kept with Brevo, an email service the site uses to store the list and to send emails on its behalf. As part of its service, Brevo may record whether an email was opened and whether a link in it was clicked. Brevo's privacy policy.
Unsubscribing and changing frequency
- Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- To change the frequency, sign up again on the community page with the same address and choose a different frequency. The change takes effect after you confirm it by email.
- After you unsubscribe, the address stays with Brevo, marked as having asked to stop, so that it is not added again by mistake. You can ask us to delete it completely.
Questions and searches
What you write in "Ask the Sources" or in search is processed on the site's server to find the relevant sources. The site does not keep the text of your question in its records; only general technical data is recorded, such as how long it took and the type of result. The question itself is not put in the page address: it is sent to the server in the body of the request, so it does not appear in your browser history, in a share link or in analytics. So that you can return to the answer with the "Back" button, it is stored temporarily in your browser tab only, and deleted when the tab is closed. Search words, on the other hand, do appear in the address of the search page, so they may appear in the technical access logs of the site's hosting provider (Vercel). Your IP address is used to limit the number of questions in a short period, and is not kept over time.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to learn which pages are read and which actions are taken on it (for example opening today's advice, choosing a topic from the fixed list of topics, or submitting the sign-up form). Google Analytics uses cookies. Only the page address is sent, without what was typed in search or in a question, and never an email address.
