(טו) בִּשְׁנַת תקס"ז נָסַע לְנָאוְורִיטְשׁ וְאוֹסְטְרְהָא וְזַאסְלַאב וְדוּבְּנָא וּשְׁאָר קְהִלּוֹת. וְהָיָה אָז גַּם־כֵּן בִּקְהִלַּת־קֹדֶשׁ בְּרָאד, וְשָׁהָה בְּדֶרֶךְ זֶה בְּעֵרֶךְ חֲצִי שָׁנָה. וְאֵין שׁוּם אָדָם יוֹדֵעַ מֶה עָשָׂה בִּנְסִיעָה זוֹ. כִּי לֹא קִבֵּל שָׁם מָמוֹן בִּנְסִיעָה זוֹ, גַּם בְּרֹב הַמְּקוֹמוֹת שֶׁהָיָה שָׁם לֹא יָדְעוּ מִמֶּנּוּ כְּלָל, בִּפְרָט בִּבְּרָאד שֶׁנִּכְנַס לְשָׁם לְבַדּוֹ בְּהֶעְלֵם גָּדוֹל וְכוּ'. וּבִנְסִיעָה זוֹ נִפְטְרָה אִשְׁתּוֹ בְּזַאסְלַאב שֶׁהָיְתָה שָׁם אֵצֶל הַדָּאקְטֶיר [רוֹפֵא]. וַאֲנַחְנוּ הָיִינוּ שָׁם עַל חַג הַשָּׁבוּעוֹת, וְאַחַר פְּטִירַת אִשְׁתּוֹ בְּאוֹתוֹ הַקַּיִץ נִשְׁתַּדֵּךְ מִבְּרָאד. וְאָז בָּא עָלָיו חוֹלַאַת הַהוּסְט [שִׁעוּל] וְאָמַר תֵּכֶף שֶׁיִּסְתַּלֵּק וּבְחֹדֶשׁ אֱלוּל נָשָׂא אִשְׁתּוֹ הַשְּׁנִיָּה:
