שבחי הר״ן · חלק ראשון · אות ו׳

והיה רגיל להתחיל בכל פעם מחדש, דהינו: כשנפל ממדרגתו לפעמים, לא היה מייאש עצמו בשביל זה, רק אמר שיתחיל מחדש כאלו לא התחיל עדין כלל לכנס בעבודתו יתברך, רק עתה הוא מתחיל מחדש. וכן בכל פעם ופעם תמיד היה רגיל להתחיל מחדש, והיה לו כמה התחלות ביום אחד, שגם ביום אחד לפעמים נפל מעבודתו והיה מתחיל מחדש, וכן כמה פעמים ביום אחד.
