שיחות הר״ן · אות כ״ט

ועל לימוד הפוסקים הזהיר מאד מאד ביותר מכל הלימודים. וראוי ללמוד כל הארבעה "שלחן ערוך" כולם מראשם עד סופם כסדר. אם יכול ללמוד כל הארבעה שלחן ערוך עם כל הפירושים הגדולים – מה טוב, ואם לאו – על כל פנים ילמוד כל הארבעה שלחן ערוך הקטנים. והוא תיקון גדול מאד, כי על ידי חטאים נתערב טוב ורע, ועל ידי לימוד פוסק שמברר הכשר והפסול המותר והאסור הטהור והטמא, על ידי זה נתברר ונפרש הטוב מן הרע, וכמבואר במאמר "ראיתי מנורת זהב" (לקוטי מוהר"ן, חלק א', סימן ח') ובשאר מאמרים (עיין שם, סימן סב) מעלת לימוד הפוסקים. ואמר שכל איש ישראלי מחוייב ללמוד בכל יום ויום פוסקים ולא יעבור. ואף אם הוא אנוס ואין לו פנאי, ילמד על כל פנים איזה סעיף שלחן ערוך באיזה מקום שהוא אפילו שלא במקומו שהוא עומד עתה בשלחן ערוך. כי צריך ללמוד איזה דין בשלחן ערוך בכל יום ויום כל ימי חייו. וכשאינו אנוס ילמד כסדר כל הארבעה שלחן ערוך מדי יום ביומו וכשיגמור ויסיים הארבעה שלחן ערוך יחזר ויתחיל ללמדם כסדר. וכן ינהג כל ימי חייו:
