שיחות הר״ן · אות ע׳

[הקב"ה פונה מכל עסקיו להקשיב למי שרוצה לשוחח עמו] ענה ואמר: היתכן שאנו מניחין את השם יתברך שיעשה ויחשוב לגזור גזרות בעולם, (כי אז באותו הזמן נשמע שיוצאין גזרות על ישראל חס ושלום)? כי אנו צריכין לקרות את השם יתברך מעסקיו שהוא עוסק בהם באיזה גזירה וכיוצא חס ושלום, לקרות אותו משם שישליך זאת ויפנה אלינו למה שאנו רוצים לדבר עמו, לבקש ממנו שיקרב אותנו לעבודתו יתברך. כי כשאחד מישראל רוצה לדבר עם השם יתברך לפרש שיחתו לפניו יתברך, אזי השם יתברך משליך כל עניניו וכל הגזירות שרוצה לגזור חס ושלום וכל העסקים שלו שהוא יתברך עוסק בהם כביכול, והוא משליך הכל ופונה עצמו רק לזה האיש שרוצה לדבר עמו ולפרש שיחתו לפניו לבקש מאתו שיעזרהו להתקרב אליו יתברך:
