תיקון הכללי · הקדמה · קטע ו׳

והזהיר מאד לבל יתפחד האדם מזה כלל, כי הפחד והדאגות והמרה-שחורה בענין זה מזיק מאד מאד, בפרט אחר שגלה אלו העשרה קפיטל תהלים הנ"ל אז אמר שמי שיזכה לקים זאת, לומר אלו העשרה קפיטל תהלים הנ"ל באותו היום שיקרה לו חס ושלום, אזי בודאי יתקן חטאו, ושוב אל ידאג כלל. גם היה מתלוצץ מאלו החסידים והיראים, שכשמגיע להם איזה הרהור, אזי הם מתפחדים שלא יבואו לידי מקרה חס ושלום, ומחמת זה הם רגילים בהתר, מחמת פחד שלא יבואו לידי מקרה. והוא, זכרונו לברכה, היה מתלוצץ מזה, ועקר כונתו היה שהאדם צריך לבלי להתפחד ולהתירא כלל מדברים כאלו, ולבלי לחשב מחשבות כלל בענין זה, רק יהיה כגבור חיל לעמד כנגד תאותו ויסיח דעתו מזה לגמרי, ואל יתפחד כלל, וה' הטוב בעיניו יעשה עמו, מה שהוא יתברך חפץ.
