שבחי הר״ן · חלק ב - סדר הנסיעה שלו לארץ ישראל · אות ל״ה

ובעניין תכלית הידיעה אשר לא נדע ספר גם כן קצת עמנו איזה פעמים איך בכל ידיעה יש זה התכלית. ועל כן אף על פי שזוכים לבוא לזה התכלית אשר לא נדע, אף על פי כן עדין אין זה התכלית האחרון, כי עדין אין זה תכלית הידיעה כי אם בידיעה זו וצריכים אחר כך לטרוח לזכות לתכלית גבוה יותר לזכות למדרגת התכלית אשר לא נדע בידיעה הגבוה יותר, וכן לעולם. נמצא שלעולם אין יודעין כלל, ואף על פי כן לא התחיל עדין להשיג התכלית. (וכבר מבואר מזה קצת בדברינו במקום אחר) וענין זה עמק ונסתר מאד מאד. ועוד יש בעניין זה מה ששמענו פעם אחת אחר פסח ויתבאר במקום אחר אם ירצה השם.
