שיחות הר״ן · אות י״ד

אני מקנא מאד איש כשר שקורין "ערליכר יהודי", כי נדמה שהולך בן אדם עם דקין וכרכשות ואיברים כשאר כל העולם ואף על פי כן באמת הוא ענין אחר לגמרי, כי איש כשר יקר מאד אשרי לו. והעיקר הוא הרצון והכיסופין, ואף על פי שאין לצאת בזה [כמבאר במאמר ויהיו נא פי שנים (לקוטי מוהר"ן, חלק א', סימן סו)]; כי צריכין להוציא מכח אל הפועל דוקא. כי אף על פי שאונס רחמנא פטריה עם כל זה זהו למי שרוצה לצאת החוב. אבל צריך שלא לקרר דעתו בזה במה שהוא פטור מחמת האונס רק לעשות עבודת ה' בפועל (כמבאר כל זה במאמר הנזכר לעיל עיין שם), אף על פי כן גם זה טוב כשאוחזין בזה שאין רוצין לצאת עם האונס רק שכיסופו חזק ורצונו תקיף מאד לזכות לעשות עבודת ה' בפועל. וזה הרצון בעצמו טוב מאד. ואם אף על פי כן הוא אנוס ואינו זוכה אל העבודה, הרצון הנזכר לעיל בעצמו הוא טוב מאד:
