שיחות הר״ן · אות כ״ח

ראוי לאדם שיעבור וילך בזה העולם בכל הספרים הקדושים, וללמוד כלם, כדי שיהיה בכל מקום; כמו שנמצא השרים הגדולים שהולכים ועוברים במדינות, ומוציאים הוצאות רבות על זה כדי שיוכל אחר כן להתפאר ולומר שהיה במדינות, כמו שדרך השרים להתפאר ולומר: "הייתי בורשא", וכיוצא בזה, כמו כן ראוי שיהיה האדם בעולם הזה בכל מקומות הקדושים של התורה, כדי שיוכל להתפאר בעולם הבא שהיה בכל מקום, דהיינו בכל הספרים הקדושים כנ"ל. ולעתיד – בעולם הבא – מזכירין אותו כל מה שלמד בעולם הזה:
